Standing Committees

The Standing Committees of the EHOA report back to Central Council. The committees are:


Editorial Committee: It shall be the duty of the Editorial Committee to be responsible for the publication and business management of all Association Official publications and documentation. And any other matter referred to it by Central Council.

Education & Examination Committee: It shall be the duty of the Education & Examination Committee to keep constantly under review and advise Central Council on all matters relating to training, education and Statutory Examination.

Hygiene Education Committee:  Overseeing the running and development of the educations programmes certificated by the EHOA and other bodies.

  • Hygiene Education Committee: Maeve Costello ,Anne Deacon, Sharon Dormer, Joanne Lorriman, Aine Lynch, John Magher,  Margaret O’Meara, Caitriona Syron

Finance & General Purposes Committee: It shall be the duty of the Finance & General Purposes Committee to take cognisance generally of all financial transactions; to conduct financial business as approved by Central Council; to be responsible for the organisation and control of salaried staff and equipment and supplies required by them. To consider and report on any other matters referred to them by Central Council.

 

Legal & Parliamentary Committee: It shall be the duty of the Legal & Parliamentary Committee to examine, review and report, where necessary, to the Central Council on all Bills or existing legislation relating to Environmental Health Officers and to consider and report on any other matters referred to them by Central Council.

 

Public Relations Committee: It shall be the duty of the Public Relations Committee to assist the Public Relations Officer in the production of documents and media releases on matters of Environmental Health interest and their submission to the public media.

 

Conference Committee: It shall be the duty of the Conference Committee to be responsible for the organisation and location of the Annual Conference and any other matters referred to it by Central Council

 

Resource & Developmental Committee: It shall be the duty of the Resource and Development Committee to review existing resources in the light of the direction in which the Association is moving.
