EHOA Membership

Only appropriately qualified persons working as Environmental Health Officers are eligible for full membership. Associate membership is available to persons working outside the profession or domiciled in other countries. Fellowship may be awarded on merit or on submission of an acceptable thesis.

Applications for membership are proposed at central council meetings. Decision to award membership rests with central council and criteria for membership is contained within the Articles of Association.

Associate Membership

Associate membership is available to suitably qualified persons holding some appointment in connection with Environmental Health administration approved by the Central Council for the purpose of Associate membership; or any persons who are qualified to hold the position of Health Inspector, Environmental Health Officer or Environmental Health Inspector but who are not qualified to be members. They shall not have the right to vote.

Student Membership

Student members shall be persons who are at least 16 years of age and who are studying with a view to their ultimate qualification as a Health Inspector, Environmental Health Officer or Environmental Health Inspector.  They shall not have a right to vote.
