As part of the commitment to the development the of profession and improvement of peoples health and environment, the EHOA have several awards and bursaries which they award throughout the year to individuals and worthy charities. 

Excellence in Environmental Health Awards, these awards allows us to showcase the outstanding contributions, achievements, or innovation in the environmental health field, not only within the profession but also in the wider world of environmental health.

The John Shelly Bursary is presented by the Environmental Health Officers' Association on an annual basis. The award is presented in memory of Mr. John Shelly, founder member of the EHOA

The EHOA - Environmental Health Student Award -  this award is provided to the Environmental Health Student graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health) Honours Degree from Dublin Institute of Technology with the highest overall results on graduation.
