Environmental Health Officers' Association Mission Statement

To promote, educate and advise our members, the public and industry on environmental health and public health issues in the 21st Century.

 

Main Objects

 

The main objects for which the Environmental Health Officers’ Association is established are:-

 

For the benefit of the public the promotion of environmental health and the dissemination
of knowledge about environmental health by


(a) promoting education and training in matters relating to environmental health so as to ensure the effectiveness of its members and their usefulness to the community;

 

(b) promoting the dissemination of the knowledge of environmental health in the belief that such knowledge is beneficial to the quality of life; and


(c) maintaining high standards of practice and professional conduct by all its members.

 

 Subsidiary Objects

 

In furtherance exclusively of the above main objectives, the following shall be the subsidiary objects of Environmental Health Officers’ Association:

 

(a) To take over the whole of the assets and liabilities of the Unincorporated Association established in the month of September 1949, under the style or title of “The Health Inspector’s Association of Ireland, Cumann Cigirí Slantiochta na h-Eireann”, and to enter into such agreements and to make, do and execute all Such acts, deeds, matters and things as may be necessary for the purpose of taking to and over such assets and liabilities or any part thereof.

 

(b) The general promotion of the objects of the Science of the Environmental Health and kindred objects.
